Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Richard Rainville, PA-C, ATC, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Illinois State University and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Eastern Michigan University. During his undergraduate education, he gained valuable experience working with elite athletes, including the Illinois State University Men’s Basketball team and Northwestern University’s football team.

After becoming a certified Physician Assistant in August 2022, Richard worked at the Kutcher Clinic for Sports Neurology for a year and a half. There, he specialized in evaluating and treating head injuries, further enhancing his expertise in sports medicine. In February 2024, he joined Heiden Orthopedics to continue his passion for helping patients stay active and healthy.

Richard believes movement is medicine and is dedicated to supporting patients in their pursuit of physical fitness. His focus on patient education and evidence-based care ensures that every patient receives effective, personalized treatment. 

Outside of work, Richard enjoys skiing, cycling, pickleball, golf, and cooking.
