Dr. Eric Heiden joined the BMC Racing Team for the Men’s Race at the Amgen Tour of California, from May 14 -20, 2017. The annual professional race will cover approximately 576 miles this year, starting in Sacramento and ending in Pasadena, CA. During the seven-stage bicycle race, Dr. Heiden will support the cyclists through a climb up Mt. Baldy, a time trial at Big Bear Lake and through the Angeles National Forest. We will be compiling his photos and updating the blog along the way so you can join the team on their journey. Driving a team car is not for the faint of heart. A multitude of duties. Most drivers have raced as professionals and have a keen understanding of the dynamics of the race peloton. If you ever have the opportunity to ride in a team car take it. Your appreciation for the director’s ability will floor you. And the ride itself…..well, buckle up because there is nothing like it.
