Eric Heiden was a Reluctant Hero

ESPN featured Eric Heiden in an article, “Eric Heiden was a Reluctant Hero.” Nicknamed “Man of Gold” for winning more gold medals in Speed Skating than any other Olympian before him; Heiden set new standards of achievement. He followed Speed Skating with Professional Cycling and after that, Stanford Medical School.

Heiden has remained close to the world of sports, and is now a practicing Orthopedic Surgeon. His experience and dedication to athletics greatly helps in his work with athletes and injury.
